CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The Chicago Blackhawks re-signed center Michal Handzus and defenseman Michael Rozsival on Friday.

Handzus, 36, signed a one-year deal after becoming an unrestricted free agent on Friday. Handzus joined the Hawks at the trade deadline last seasons from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick.

The 34-year-old Rozsival signed a two-year deal after his first season with the Hawks where he had 12 assists and a plus-18 rating in 27 games.

The Hawks parted ways with backup goaltender Ray Emery earlier in the day. Emery signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday.
