Pride Parade, Paula Deen fallout, and getting the job you want: Chat Room

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

On Monday's Chat Room, Sun-Times Splash Editor Susanna Negovan joined GDC anchor Anna Davlantes and entertainment reporter Bill Zwecker to discuss the million people party at Sunday's Gay Pride Parade.

The annual Gay Pride Parade drew much larger crowds than last year and left some cleaning up to do.

Just last week the Supreme Court made two significant rulings applauded by the gay community and gay right's proponents.

The New Yorker Magazine's cover celebrating the decision is raising a few eyebrows.

Paula Deen has been getting bad news. More of her deals have dropped over the weekend after she admitted to making racist statements. Even after apologies, it doesn't seem to be getting better. But not all celebrities deal with this kind of aftermath.

The latest outburst by Alec Baldwin, who has been known for his rage issues, was on Twitter where he used a homophobic slur. He was responding to a report saying his wife was tweeting during James Gandolfini. He tweeted "I'm gonna find you, George Stark, you toxic little queen." He has since apologized.

And Bill talks about attending the big wedding this weekend between George Lucas and Melody Hobson.

Branding expert Mindie Kaplan and business owner Corri McFadden joined Chat Room to talk about how to get the job you want and deserve.
