Severe Thunderstorm Watch In Effect Until 10 P.M.

PHILADELPHIA -

Stormy weather is in our area for the third night in a row.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 10 p.m. for southeastern Pennsylvania, South Jersey and Delaware.

Damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph are possible, and some events could have hail up to 1.5 inches in diameter.

"A severe thunderstorm watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area," the NWS watch says. "Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce tornadoes."
