Police Dig Up Backyard of Missing Collingdale Woman

Posted: Updated:
COLLINGDALE, Pa. -

More than a month after a Delaware County mom went missing, authorities continue to search for answers.

Police have returned to Melissa Rodriguez's Collingdale Neighborhood in hopes of finding more clues and information.

New leads appeared to suggest a major break in the case was at hand, but it was not to be. The police were digging in the backyard of Rodriguez' home on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old was last seen April 18th when she told her estranged husband she was going to Newark, New Jersey for the weekend.

Police say he has not talked to authorities since hiring an attorney last month. Having said that, the Police Chief Robert Adams made clear that Jose Rodriguez, whose alleged infidelity led to the break-up of his marriage to Melissa, is not a suspect in a criminal case.
