WILLOW GROVE, Pa. -

Police identify the suspect as 23-year-old Thomas Coffee of Willow Grove. He was arrested and faces murder and weapons charges tonight.

Investigators believe robbery was the motive in the shooting death of Daniel Cook. News of the suspect's arrest has shaken up the neighborhood.

"Two SWAT teams came in and surrounded the house," described Don Dirocco, a neighbor.

Witnesses say a Willow Grove House was surrounded by police on Saturday, the home of Thomas Coffee.

"We had to all go in the house. That just doesn't happen around here," said Dirocco. "Everybody had to stay inside."

He was arrested and charged with killing Danny Cook of South Jersey.

Police say it all happened Friday night when Cook came to Walnut Lane in Northwest Philadelphia to answer an ad on Craigslist listing an ATV for sale.

Police say he went to look at the 4 wheeler when…

"boom boom boom. Somebody said…they yelled out 'oh they shot Danny,'" a witness described.

Cook was shoot in the face and later died. Police checked surveillance tape near the crime scene and got their suspect the next day.

They also examined the family house.

"They took some stuff out of there. Whatever they were looking for, " described a Dirocco.

FOX 29 learned that 23-year-old Coffee has an extensive criminal history: with charges relating to firearms possession, robbery, and inflicting serious bodily harm.

Neighbors reported seeing police at this home a few times in the past but are shocked to hear he is accused of murder.

"You don't expect something like that to happen this close to home," said another neighbor.

Court records show Coffee was also arrested for simple assault and burglary and sources say he even did some time for some crimes.

But his family did not answer the door to comment on this latest case.

Police did interview the girlfriend of the victim who traveled with him to check out the ATV.

But those that knew Daniel Cook were too emotional to talk with FOX 29 tonight.
