CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Police are searching for the suspect who sexually assaulted two women on the Near North Side.

Police say the latest sex assault happened in an alley near the 1000 of North Dearborn Street at 5:40 a.m. Sunday.

The suspect approached a 26-year-old woman from behind and dragged her into an alley where he attacked her on the ground.

Someone walking by scared off the attacker. The woman, who was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, was listed in stable condition.

Chicago police believe the same suspect is responsible for another attack that happened on Monday night just a block away near 1100 North Clark Street. The victim in that case was also forced into an alley and sexually assaulted.

Chicago police have a vague description of the suspect. He is described as a man who is approximately 35 years old. He has a dark brown complexion and is approximately 5 foot 9 to 6 foot 2 inches tall and weighs between 240-260 pounds.
