Chicago firefighter missing from South Side

A Chicago firefighter is missing from the South Side, police said.

Herbert "Bubba" Williams was last seen Saturday in the 100 block of East 73rd Street as he was leaving to run errands, according to a missing person alert issued by police.

Williams, 41, was described as black, standing 6-foot-2, and weighing 260 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and medium complexion, the alert stated.

He was last seen wearing a bright orange t-shirt, navy blue and orange jogging pants and a blue Chicago Fire Department baseball cap.

The Chicago Fire Department could not immediately provide additional details.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Area Central Detectives at (312) 747-8380.
