Man & woman found dead at Streeterville hotel in apparent murder-suicide

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A man and woman were found dead Friday in an apparent murder-suicide at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers in the Streeterville neighborhood, authorities said.

The man and woman were found shot dead in a bed in the 300 block of East North Water Street about 4:20 p.m., police said. Two handguns were found next to the bed, police said.

The pair were identified as James A. Wright Jr., 56, of the 10900 block of Donna Drive in Milwaukee, Wisc. and Kim Wright, 46, of the 0-100 block of Notthingham Lane in Oconomowoc, Wisc., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Autopsies Saturday determined that both died from gunshot wounds to the face, according to the medical examiner's office. The death of James A. Wright Jr. was ruled a homicide and the death of Kim Wright was ruled a suicide.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
