PONTIAC, Mich. (WJBK) -

Jurors were shown pictures taken inside the Cipriano home, including gruesome and bloody crime scene photos. They also heard from police officers, who were first on the scene.

21-year-old Mitchell Young looked tense and nervous at the start of day three of testimony. The alleged accomplice of Tucker Cipriano is on trial for murder, armed robbery and assault with intent to murder in the April 2012 baseball bat attack on the Cipriano family that left 52-year-old Robert Cipriano dead and Tucker's mother, Rose, and brother, Sal, severely beaten.

Farmington Hills police responding to the scene caught Young inside the house.

"I got him on the ground (and another officer) puts handcuffs on him," Officer Eric Buckberry testified. "He had blood in his hands, on the front of his shirt, things like that."

"We put him on the ground. We tell him not to move at this point."

Officers testified Young cooperated, but was shaking, crying and hysterical following the attack.

The jury was shown a photo of the 21-year-old in the hospital where he was checked out for injuries and was overheard asking a nurse if he was arrested for murder.

"The only thing he said was Tucker went crazy and started swinging. That's all he said to us," Buckberry testified.

Throughout the day, graphic pictures were shown. Young winced when a photo of Sal Cipriano's injuries appeared on the screen.

Tucker Cipriano, who pled no contest earlier this week, said in a taped confession that he held his father while Young hit him with the bat. They were allegedly high on the synthetic drug K2 at the time, but a Farmington Hills detective shared a different version of events from Young's confession. He said the young men broke in to steal money and valuables.

"Mr. Cipriano was extremely upset, irate, and was yelling at them while they were in the kitchen area, and at that point in time, Tucker went crazy, took off after his father with a baseball bat," said Officer Richard Wehby.

At some point, we understand Rose and Tanner Cipriano, who made a chilling 911 call to police, are expected to take the stand.

Testimony will resume on Monday.
