Half-Staff Flags In NJ To Honor Gandolfini's Return

Posted: Updated:

Gandolfini's body was flown to Newark Liberty International Airport late Sunday night. His funeral plans have been announced. It will be held Thursday morning, at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in New York City.

Flags flew at half staff in New Jersey today to honor one of the state's most beloved actors. Governor Chris Christie ordered last week that all New Jersey state buildings fly their flags at half-staff on Monday.

He made this executive order to recognize the achievements and contributions that the Soprano's star made to the state and the industry.

Gandolfini is remembered for his famous role as "Tony Soprano" and, as a news release from Christie's office states, his work as an advocate for United States service members and veterans.

Gandolfini died Wednesday night after experiencing heart problems while away with his son in Italy. He was 51 years old.

But C trains were also the cleanest in the transit system.Straphangers said the worst subway trains were the IRT's No. 2.
