TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a Tucson woman is in custody in connection with the shooting death of her husband.

Tucson police say 58-year-old Susan Thacker has been booked into the Pima County jail on suspicion of 1 count of second-degree murder.

They say she called 911 about 9 p.m. Monday to report that she shot 58-year-old Gregory Thacker.

Police say the couple apparently argued for a few hours prior to the shooting.

The Arizona Daily Star (http://bit.ly/14IiCan) reports that when officers arrived at the home, Susan Thacker was waiting outside for them and told police her husband was dead inside the house.

Police didn't immediately know Tuesday whether she had a lawyer yet.
