Man arrested at airport allegedly trying to flee country

ATLANTA -

Atlanta police arrested a man they say was trying to flee the country at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Monday.

Investigators say Ehab Elmenshawi is wanted in South Carolina for allegedly assaulting a minor.

Police say Elmenshawi works for the U.S. Department of Defense at Shaw Air Force Base.

He's being held at the Clayton County Jail awaiting South Carolina authorities to pick him up.
