Police say a teenage boy and woman were shot by a playground in Staten Island Saturday night.

The two victims were shot by Mahoney Playground located near Jersey Street and Cresent Avenue in the New Brighton section.

Authorities are saying that just before 10:00 p.m., shots rang out near the park and 14-year-old Noah Johnson was struck in the chest. 23-year-old Alexandria Ruiz was also hit during the gunfire.

Both victims were taken to Richmond University Medical Center and are both listed in stable condition.

Police are still looking for more details of the shooting and have made no arrests.

This shooting comes about 24 hours after a 9-year-old girl was shot by a stray bullet in the Bronx Friday night.
