Police Investigate Suspicious Person In Haddon Heights Park

HADDON HEIGHTS, N.J. -

Police are investigating a suspicious person Tuesday near Ralph Field in Haddon Heights Park, NJ.

An 11-year old was walking home in the area of 9th Avenue and High Street following a friend's baseball game. It was around 9:00 p.m. when a man in a white van asked the child if they needed a ride.

"He could have gotten out of the car and threw me in there," said the boy.

That fear is what sent the boy running to the nearest house, but no one was home. That's when he noticed the man in the van had circled the area and was back.

He headed back to the ball field and luckily saw one of his neighbors leaving and asked him to take him home where he told his mom Cheryl what happened.

"My heart was racing that evening I mean it took me hours to fall asleep that night and him cause I thought of what could have happened," said Cheryl.

The van is described as an older white work can with driver and passenger side windows.  The van has two, one-inch vertical stripes going across the full length of the van. The rear door also has  the same types of stripes.  There was rust on the van's passenger-side corner panel.

The driver is described as a white male, medium build with thick-rimmed glasses.  He may be in his 50s and was last seen wearing a red Philadelphia Phillies baseball hat and a short-sleeve shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Haddon Heights Police Department at (856) 547-0614.

The saying art is autobiographical takes on a whole new meaning when your canvas is a fully nude human body, as it is for artist Andy Golub. Andy along with 30 other artists and 45 Technicolor models paraded around several Manhattan hotspots over the weekend for NYC Body Painting day. Believe or not, this is completely legal in New York City.
