Pet Rescue Finds Lost Dog From 'Powerhouse' Fire, Seeks Owner

Simi Valley, CA -

Update From Hal Eisner:

"POWER" Update: a CHP Officer saw our story this morning about "Power" the German Shepherd and remembers seeing a man in Lake Hughes in tears because he thought his German Shepherd died in the Powerhouse fire. The ladies of Simi Valley Missing Pets are trying to narrow in on the man seen on Lake Hughes Rd.

I'm sooo hoping for a reunion!!!

LA County Animal Care and Control says whenever there is a brush fire dogs and other pets get displaced. That seems to be what happened to this German Shepherd. We don't know his real name because he doesn't have a collar. He doesn't have a microchip. But, because a lot of people think he was driven to the Lake Elizabeth area by the fire, and the ladies of Simi Valley Missing Pets has named him "POWER." Do you know him?

Simi Valley Missing Pets is a group of ladies that go out looking for dogs in need of help. They heard thru social networking that "POWER" was hanging around the lake and seemed lost. Wednesday night SVMP spent four hours closing in and leashing the dog. They took him to a vet. He had a few medical issues. Nothing serious.

Now, they have him hoping they can  reunite him with his owner. If you recognize "POWER" you can find Simi Valley Missing Pets on Facebook. Also, LA County Animal Care and Control says have an emergency plan in case a brush fire consumers your neighborhood and you don't want to get separated from your pet. Right now the 20 that were at the Castaic Shelter have been claimed, but there are still 11 dogs and 3 cats at the Lancaster Shelter that are unclaimed.

To find them go to Simi Valley Missing Pets Official Facebook page.

They are a dedicated bunch!

A Delta Air Lines flight from La Guardia Airport to West Palm Beach, Florida, was diverted to Jacksonville because of a dispute between passengers over a reclining seat. Delta reportedly says the flight was diverted Monday night when a woman got into an argument with a passenger behind her when the woman was trying to recline her seat while the other passenger was trying to sleep on the tray table.
