PHOENIX (AP) - County prosecutors in Phoenix say they won't file charges against a former University of Utah swim coach accused of sexually abusing a teenage girl he coached in Arizona six years ago.

Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery says Wednesday that his office cannot meet the burden of proof required to bring charges against coach Greg Winslow.

A report released by police at Arizona State University, where Winslow was a popular swim coach, said Winslow was 32 when he took a special interest in a 15-year-old swimmer on the Sun Devils Aquatics club in Tempe.

The AP could not reach Winslow for comment Wednesday. His phone number was disconnected.

He has denied the allegations in police interviews.
