Cardinals to hold summer training camp in Glendale

Posted: Updated:
GLENDALE, Ariz. -

We've learned that the Arizona Cardinals will spend summer training camp at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale. Fans used to have to go up to Flagstaff to see the Cards practice.

We've known for weeks the Cardinals weren't going back to Flagstaff for training camp after cutting ties with NAU. But Tuesday afternoon team president Michael Bidwill made it official they will be training in Glendale, although details still need to be worked out.

The start date of training and the use of nearby fields at the Glendale Youth Sports Complex are just some of those details.

More and more teams are practicing close to home. In fact, 20 out of 32 NFL teams hold camp at home.
