SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Celebrity Star Jones is good friends Rosaline Lee's sister. They met years ago while she was in Maryland. They happened to be sorority sisters. Now that Lee has been murdered, Jones is taking an active role in the search for the killer.

"People talk," said Robin Lane, Lee's sister.

All that talk, however, has yet to lead to Lee's killer. Fishermen discovered the mother's body in a Pontiac lake on May 26.

Oakland County Sheriff's deputies say Lee was strangled. Her car was dumped less than a mile from where her body was found.

"It's already hard to actually move forward and to live day to day," Lane said. "We just want to know who did it."

Now the family is getting some major help from Jones.

"Since Star and my sister Rochelle are close friends, she kind of heard about it, and she took it upon herself to push forward and try to help us," Lane said.

Jones contacted Nancy Grace. She and Lee's sister appeared on the show Tuesday night hoping to drum up strong tips that will lead investigators to the killer.

"I said to my girlfriend we're going to find out what happened, and I'm going to use every public platform that I have to get my friends in the media to pay attention to your sister and your sister's murder," Jones said on Grace's show.

"We are very grateful for Star Jones and for her help in reaching out and having other people reach out," Lane said. "If you know somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody, just please come forward. That's all we're asking."

If you know anything about who killed Rosaline Lee, give the Oakland County Sheriff's Office a call.

A Delta Air Lines flight from La Guardia Airport to West Palm Beach, Florida, was diverted to Jacksonville because of a dispute between passengers over a reclining seat. Delta reportedly says the flight was diverted Monday night when a woman got into an argument with a passenger behind her when the woman was trying to recline her seat while the other passenger was trying to sleep on the tray table.
