SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (myFOXDetroit.com) -

The Grand Prix is featuring Comerica Bank Free Prix Day on Friday, May 31, where you can enjoy the kick-off to the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix for free.

In addition to enjoying free admission to watch the day's on-track activities, which include IZOD IndyCar Series practice and qualifying, GRAND-AM Rolex Series practice and qualifying and Pirelli World Challenge Series practice and qualifying, fans will be able to visit the paddock and garage areas at the Grand Prix, courtesy of Comerica Bank. In addition, live entertainment will feature Detroit's own contemporary R&B singer/songwriter, Dwele, who will perform on the MotorCity Casino Hotel Entertainment Stage Friday evening at 5:45 p.m.

Tickets

The Grand Prix continues Saturday and Sunday, June 1-2. Tickets are available for a single-day, 2-day, or 3-day pass. You can purchase tickets online here: www.detroitgp.com/tickets.

Parking

With no public Grand Prix parking available at Belle Isle Park during race weekend, the event will feature a comprehensive and detailed transportation plan that will once again include luxury buses and an expanded ferry service to Belle Isle.

The Q-itUp! Grand Prix Shuttles powered by XYQ will transport many of the expected crowd of 100,000 plus fans that will visit the Grand Prix. Over 100 buses will be used throughout the race weekend to provide first-class transportation for Grand Prix guests and participants.

As part of the Transportation Center powered by XYQ, guests will be transported from the designated stops by luxury coaches and school buses to Belle Isle (see attached map and information). The buses will run from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m., Friday-Sunday, and fans can be picked up from the designated spots all three days at the Cobo Hall Roof, Joe Louis Arena parking deck, and Marina Lots located near Atwater and Orleans.

On Saturday and Sunday only, street level parking will be available in the lots east of the GM Renaissance Center and the Renaissance Center parking decks at Beaubien, Port Atwater and Franklin Street. Adults can ride the buses round trip for $10, while children 12 and under cost $5 and every bus will stop at each designated parking lot. Parking is $5 per vehicle at the marina lots and $10 per vehicle at Cobo Roof, Joe Louis Arena, GM Renaissance Center area lots and all parking decks.
