Man in critical condition after hit-and-run in the Bronx

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A 23-year-old man is fighting for his life after he was the victim in a hit-and-run incident in the Bronx early Sunday morning.

The unidentified victim was walking west across Webster Avenue near East 176th Street in the Tremont section around 4:00 a.m. when he was struck, according to police.

He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital where he is listed in critical condition with a head injury.

According to the New York Post the victim is from Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Authorities say they do not have a description of the vehicle that hit the victim. Investigators were at the scene looking for video and witnesses to get a description of the car and driver.
