5/31: Volleyball instructor

Posted: Updated:

The United States Youth Volleyball League is a non-profit youth volleyball organization for boys and girls ages 7-15. We are the nation's largest grassroots volleyball league. We are currently looking for a volleyball instructor for our Elgin Youth Volleyball League this summer.

The volleyball instructor is in charge of meeting with the volunteer coaches before practice to go over the drills for that day. They make sure that the drills are being carried out correctly and also demonstrate skills for the players. Because volleyball is a technical sport, we need an instructor with volleyball experience (high school, club, and/or collegiate) to make sure that the volunteer coaches are following our Curriculum Handbook.

We train prior to the start of the league and keep in contact throughout the volleyball season. The 8-week season runs from June 11-August 3, 2013 on Tuesdays 6-7pm & Saturdays 9-10am at Elgin Sports Complex.

Must be at least 18 years old. Prior volleyball experience (high school, club, and/or collegiate) is required. Prior coaching experience is a plus. Must be responsible, punctual, and comfortable working and communicating with kids and parents.
