CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A DePaul University student will spend the next 145 days in jail for his role in a deadly beach brawl in 2011.

James Malecek, 20, has been sentenced for involuntary manslaughter.

As part of a plea deal with prosecutors, Malecek will have to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet for nearly four years after his jail term.
