Alison Sweeney's New Adventure: Novelist

Posted: Updated:

You've known Alison Sweeney for more than 20 years as Sami Brady on "Days of Our Lives." She's gone public with her weight problems and even hosts a show on that topic, "The Biggest Loser."

Now this mother of two, at age 36, says she's in the best shape of her life and she's trying yet another profession: novelist.

Ali talks about all of the above, including that new novel "The Star Attraction" with Steve Edwards and Maria Sansone on Good Day LA.

Fun facts about Alison:

  • Her television debut was at age five in a Kodak advertisement
  • She has earned four Soap Opera Digest Awards and a Fan Voted Daytime Emmy Award.
  • In 2007, she became the host of The Biggest Loser.
  • Sweeney married David Sanov, a California highway patrolman who once appeared on Days of our Lives in the role of a police officer.
