App Says It Can Cut Your Grocery Bill In Half

PHILADELPHIA -

How much time and money do you spend at the grocery store? If you're tired of paying big bucks to feed your family, you'll want to see this.

How would you like to save over 50 percent on your groceries?

FOX 29's Iain Page shows you a new app that makes it easy to save money every time you go to the grocery store.

Savon is the first app to give shoppers a fast and easy way to save money on groceries.

The app takes your grocery list and finds the lowest possible prices at your favorite stores.

Each year 335 billion coupons are delivered to consumers in the u.s. but who has the time to review hundreds of coupons a week? It's almost impossible for a typical shopper to figure out which store has the best prices.

You simply make your grocery list in the app, it goes out and searches for the best prices for those products on your grocery list and tells you the best deal at your favorite stores for the brands you love.

Page reported that it's really that easy. You can find out more by watching the video report above. And, when you're done, go check out the app right here.

Nearly all 1,100 facilities providing services in the city's new universal pre-kindergarten program are ready to open on time after passing health and safety inspections. City officials said Friday they expect the eight remaining pre-K schools to remedy violations by Sept. 4's opening day. If they don't, affected children will be temporarily enrolled in other facilities.
