Dispute ends in stabbing, shooting death

Posted: Updated:
SNELLVILLE, Ga. -

A woman in suburban Atlanta was stabbed in the back and a man was found fatally shot in the head when officers responded to a call in Snellville.

Police say the man's death is being investigated as a suicide.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://bit.ly/10GmYyC) that officers were dispatched to an address on White Pine Road around 1:15 a.m. Sunday after a caller said he stabbed his girlfriend and needed help to be sent to the residence.

Police said they could hear a person screaming for help when they arrived. They forced open the locked front door and found the woman lying face-down with a stab wound in her back.

The man was located in the kitchen with a gunshot wound to his head and a weapon nearby, authorities said.

It appears the subway bedbug problem we've been reporting is getting worse. Commuters already have to contend with sweltering platforms, scurrying rats and packed train cars, and now there's another transit woe: fear of bedbugs.
