YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - A Yuma man has been arrested on numerous charges in connection with a crash that killed a state Department of Public Safety officer earlier this week.

Detectives with the Arizona Department of Public Safety arrested 33-year-old Jorge Espinoza at his home on Friday. He was booked into the Yuma County jail.

DPS spokesman Bart Graves says Espinoza is facing one count of manslaughter, 14 counts of endangerment and seven counts of criminal damage.

It's not clear whether Espinoza has an attorney.

Officer Tim Huffman, a 14-year DPS veteran, was killed Monday when a tanker truck driven by Espinoza smashed into the vehicles of responders to an accident along Interstate 8 in southwestern Arizona.

Authorities said it wasn't clear why Espinoza didn't react to the flashing lights and the waving of a DPS officer to signal that a lane was closed.
