Abercrombie & Fitch criticized for catering to skinny shoppers

Clothing giant Abercrombie & Fitch is selling their brand thin - literally.

In a 2006 interview, CEO Mike Jefferies was quoted as saying the brand is "exclusionary" and "a lot of people don't belong in their clothes."

The brand won't stock sizes bigger than 10, leaving many potential and former customers disgusted at the notion of exclusivity from a clothing company.

Jefferies' interview was featured in a new book on retail.

Despite his words, a number of retailers nationwide are expanding to a larger demographic. Forever 21 is now selling plus sized clothes and H&M started featuring curvier women in their swim suit ads.

It's the Brooklyn Winery, located in what was once an old pickle factory in Williamsburg. Refrigerated grapes are brought in from the North Fork of Long Island and from the Finger Lakes and then aged in barrels. These days urban wineries are becoming more popular, and they're popping up all over the borough.
