LEMONT, Ill. (FOX 32 News) -

A bomb threat was found Sunday scrawled on the wall of a southwest suburban school.

Officers responded to Oakwood School in the 1100 block of Kim Place in Lemont at 4:45 p.m. Saturday after receiving a call from a resident that a bomb threat was scrawled on the outer west wall, Lemont police Cmdr. Greg Smith said.

The message, written in chalk, said the school would be bombed on Tuesday, Smith said.

No bombs were found when Lemont police and the Cook County Sheriff's bomb squad checked the building, Smith said.

A release was sent to the parents of the students informing them of the threat, he said.

A police officer will be stationed at the building Monday and Tuesday, Smith said.

A spokesperson for the Lemont-Bromberek District 113A was not available for comment.
