GILBERT, Ariz. -

A 25-year-old man is accused of having sex with a 16-year-old girl he met at Chandler Gilbert Community College in February.

Police say the girl attends high school on campus and met James Franklin Woollums while taking college classes.

According to a court document, the girl told Woollums she was 16 the first time they met, but he pursued her anyway and would bring her to his car for sexual relations.

During an interview with police, the 16-year-old described at six instances that she and Woollums had sexual contact or intercourse.

Woollums allegedly communicated with the girl through the school's e-mail and chat system.

He asked her to take nude photos and send them to him twice, and she complied, documents show.

Woollums' wife told an investigator she found chat messages between her husband and the 16-year-old on his computer after he was arrested.

In the chats, Woollums allegedly acknowledged having a sexual relationship with the girl, but said he didn't know about the case during his arrest.

Woollums faces nine counts of sexual conduct with a minor, two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of luring a minor for sexual exploitation.
