CHINO VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) - State forestry officials say firefighters are battling a 500-acre wildfire southeast of Chino Valley in northern Arizona.

Forestry official Cliff Pearlberg says the Perkinsville fire started around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

It's burning grass and brush.

Pearlberg says 100 firefighters on are on scene with small tankers and a large tanker on order.

He says there are structures about a half-mile away, but the fire is moving away from that area.
