Local fundraiser to aid Boston officers' families

Posted: Updated:

Some metro area restaurants teamed up with the local non-profit Humble Heroes on Monday to raise money for the families of the Boston police officers who were killed and injured.

The Hudson Grille in Midtown is one of a handful of restaurants that will donate a percentage of their profits on Monday to Humble Heroes.

Organizers will forward that money to the families of MIT officer Sean Collier and transit officer Richard Donohue.

Rose & Crown Tavern on Powers Ferry Road is also taking part in Monday's fundraiser, as well as Bronx Bagels and Mama's Pizza in Alpharetta and Meehan's Public House in Atlanta.

Humble Heroes says 100 percent of the money raised will go to the officers' families.
