CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. -

Carroll County police are searching for two men they say robbed a Wells Fargo bank on Monday.

Authorities said that two men walked into 848 Bankhead Highway around 3 p.m. and demanded money.

One man fired a shot into the ceiling, while the second man jumped over the counter, grabbed money and then leaped back over the counter, police said.

Authorities said that both men took off in a silver Grand Marquis. They abandoned the car less than a mile away. Police said that the car had been reported stolen in Henry County.

Police immediately set up a perimeter and started going door to door, searching homes and buildings, but had not located them as of 9 p.m.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Carrollton Police Department at 770-834-4451.
