CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

For the second time this year, the Wells Street Bridge has closed and will be out of commission for nine days.

That means nine days of headaches for over 77,000 CTA riders.

Purple Line Express service will be suspended for all nine days.

Brown Line trains will terminate north of downtown, with some Brown Line service making all stops to Roosevelt via the Red Line Subway throughout the closure.

Additionally, Loop Track Renewal work, happening in conjunction with the bridge closure, will affect the Orange, Pink and Green Lines on weekends during this work.

This will be the final phase of the bridge's reconstruction. Normal service will resume on May 6.
