WEST WHITELAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. -

A 36-year-old Chester County man faces robbery, assault and theft charges stemming from a road rage incident where police say the victim was punched.

West Whiteland Township police say Brian Burke was arrested Wednesday in connection to the April 15th incident.

According to investigators, a woman said she was punched and then had her glasses stolen by a man in a pickup truck after a traffic accident. Police say they received a tip from someone who had seen a news report about the incident that helped lead officers to Burke's vehicle.

Police say they found evidence from the vehicle that linked Burke to the crime.

Burke was arraigned on the charges. He is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing later this month.
