LILBURN, Ga. -

One person was killed in an accident in Gwinnett County on Tuesday, officials said.

All lanes were blocked on Indian Trail Road in both directions at SR 8, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

SKYFOX 5 showed an SUV that had apparently caught fire after running into a pole.

One person was in the vehicle and was unable to get out, according to the Lilburn Police Department.

Lilburn public relations manager Nikki Young issued a state at 7 p.m. saying, "North and southbound lanes on US 29 are now open following a fatal crash this afternoon at the intersection of US 29 and Indian Trail Road. However, cars cannot cross over US 29 on Indian Trail/Killian Hill. Lilburn Police Chief Bruce Hedley said his staff will work with the Georgia Department of Transportation throughout the evening to ensure the interaction is safe before reopening."
