Falcons' William Moore granted bond after arrest

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -

Authorities say Atlanta Falcons starting safety William Moore was granted a signature bond by a judge on Friday, following his arrest on a charge of simple battery on Thursday.

According to Atlanta police, Moore got into an argument with the mother of his child Thursday in Midtown.

Police say several witnesses, including an off-duty police officer, saw Moore vigorously grab the woman and shout her name, during an argument over a cell phone.

Police say Moore also threw the woman's cell phone.

Fulton County authorities say the judge set the amount of Moore's bond at $2,500. He may be leaving the Fulton County Jail sometime on Friday.

Moore was selected by the Falcons in the second round of the 2009 draft, and earlier this year, he signed a five-year, $30 million extension with the team.
