NEWARK, Del. -

Police in Newark say they have arrested a 26-year-old man in connection to an April 2012 hit-and-run that killed a 76-year-old woman.

According to police, Ryan Wroten of Newark was arrested Wednesday.

Helen Yang was crossing Library Avenue on April 30 when she was hit by a car that failed to stop. Yang was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

In July, police say they received information that Wroten may have been involved in the crash. Investigators located his car, a four-door Honda Accord, at this home and found damage consistent with the hit-and-run, according to police. Investigators say forensic evidence helped them link Wroten's car to the crash.

Wroten was arrested for Leaving the Scene of a Collision Causing Death and was released after posting bail, police said.
