'Clutch for a Cause' event to benefit Lighthouse of Oakland County

(WJBK) -

Every day women from around southeastern Michigan walk through the doors of Lighthouse looking for a path to self-sufficiency. Whether they have children, are looking for work or a safe place to stay, the handbag they carry with them is often the most important accessory they have.

To support the programs that assist women, children and families, Lighthouse of Oakland County is holding its "Clutch for a Cause" spring luncheon on April 18 at Orchard Lake Country Club starting at 11:30 a.m.

A silent auction will be held of donated, gently-used, high-end fashion purses, clutches and totes. One of the highlights of the luncheon will be the raffling of an exquisite Judith Leiber handbag donated by Saks Fifth Avenue in Troy.

Individual tickets may be purchased for just $75 or $125. A full lunch will be served. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 248-972-1493 or buy online at www.LighthouseOakland.org.
