NOVI, Mich. (WJBK) -

The Made in America Roadshow is happening this weekend at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.

"It's about supporting American-made companies. We feature over 150 different made in America companies manufactured right here in the good old U.S.A.," says creator Lisa Detkowski.

The show not only features goods made in America, it also has quite a few things made right here in Michigan.

"Probably eighty percent of our exhibitors here are made in Michigan companies. We're local. We're right here in Novi, Michigan. We had to choose local, too," says Detkowski.

Hillary from Baabaazuzu, a Michigan company that upcycles garments, explains how they reuse damaged clothing.

"We take goods that no longer are used, so from Goodwill, Salvation Army, garments that have just been damaged and cannot be resold. We are literally saving goods from the landfill. So you name it, we use sweaters, pantsuits, jackets. Then new this year, we are saving mens' cotton dress shirts from the landfill," says Hillary.

Baabaazuzu has been in business for almost 20 years. Check out the website at baabaazuzu.com

The Made in America Roadshow is happening April 12-14th at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. It's open Friday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is $10. Children 10 and under are free. Seniors 65 and over are $8. You've got a few more weeks to enjoy SummerStage, New York's annual performing arts showcase that's 28 years running. But it's not just music: there is dance, comedy, theater, you name it. There are several shows weekly at 14 different parks throughout the five boroughs. A recent show at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park paid tribute to Pete Seeger. Most of the shows are free and are funded by tickets purchased for the some of the bigger acts.
