Jesse Jackson Jr.`s Flossmoor office cleaned out

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Jesse Jackson Jr.'s aides cleaned out his suburban office in Flossmoor Monday, and FOX 32 News cameras recorded images of significant signs that he's out of office.

Old cell phone bills, letters from constituents and an old sketch of the proposed third airport the former congressman wanted to build in Peotone were left in the trash bins.

Jackson resigned from the seat in November and pleaded guilty to spending nearly $750,000 in campaign funds for personal items.

He could spend up to four years in prison, and will be sentenced in June.

Tuesday is Election Day in Illinois' 2nd congressional district, to fill Jackson's seat in Congress. Ill. Rep. Robin Kelly (D) is facing Paul McKinley (R).
