Father, son arrested in marijuana grow operation

LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. -

A man and his teenage son have been arrested after police find marijuana plants growing inside their Lake Havasu City home.

Last Thursday, detectives served a search warrant at the home of Craig and Tyler Schoonover in regards to an unrelated criminal investigation. Inside, they came across 61 pot plants in various stages of their growth cycle in a spare bedroom and the garage.

In addition, detectives seized approximately 12.5 grams of cultivated marijuana.

43-year-old Craig and 18-year-old Tyler were arrested. Craig Schoonover was charged with production of marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tyler was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Craig Schoonover is been held on $20,000. Tyler is being held without bond, due to being out on bond stemming from a March 21 arrest for sexual conduct.

They are being held at the Mohave County Sheriff's Office jail.
