SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Bullying is a big problem, especially online.  How do you protect your kids while also giving them some privacy?

Brian Eisenberg, a local father and businessman, believes he has the answer.

It's called Family Signal.  Sign up online and you're covered 24 hours a day in every state.  If your child is communicating through social media involving sex, drugs, violence, bullying or hate, you get a text message within five seconds to five minutes.

About 30 seconds later, you'll receive an email which shows you the conversation your child was involved in.

However, Brian, a father of four, says Family Signal isn't meant to spy on your kids.

"I'm only going to be informed to know about the things that are trouble or potential trouble," he said. "They have to have some privacy, and I want my children to know that I respect them."

Family Signal is $4.99 per month and provides Facebook, Twitter and Instagram account monitoring.  You can even monitor multiple children for the same price.  For more information, visit www.familysignal.com.
