Michelle Obama calls herself a "busy single mother"

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

First Lady Michelle Obama mistakenly described herself as a busy single mother during an interview with a local TV station in Burlington, Vt.

Obama quickly realized the flub and corrected herself to say "busy working mom."

She went on to say, "Sometimes when you've got the husband as president it can feel a little single."

Mrs. Obama was promoting the White House garden and healthy eating during the interview.

Students from Milton, Vt. were invited to the White House to help plant crops in the South Lawn garden.

Wheat, lettuce, spinach, kale, Swiss chard, endive, potatoes, radishes, garlic, fennel, broccoli, cauliflower, collard greens and several fruits are growing in the garden.

She first started planting the garden in 2009 to help launch her campaign against childhood obesity.

Making New York City more energy efficient

More than half the population of New York City rides public transportation to work. No other metropolis in this country even approaches that percentage or the MTA's total number of riders. For that reason, New York likely ranks as the most energy-efficient city in the nation. But what would it take to make the city even more energy-efficient or even self-sufficient?
