NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Reality TV star Shain Gandee from MTV's Buckwild and his uncle were found dead in a vehicle in West Virginia on Monday morning.

The body was found 31 hours after the 21-year-old was reported missing, according to gossip site TMZ.com.

An MTV spokesperson confirmed the news.

"We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incidentm," the spokesperson said in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly."

Local reports said that Gandee had been reported missing after not returning home after leaving a bar with his uncle, who was also reportedly missing.

Gandee, his uncle David Gandee, 48, and one other body were discovered in the vehicle in the town of Sissonville, according to officials.

It's more bad news for the cast after Gandee's co-star, Salwa Amin, was recently arrested in connection with a heroin case.
