1 Dead, 5 Injured After Car Slams Into Glendale Bakery

(FOX 11) One man was killed and five others hurt when a run-away car slammed into a Glendale bakery.

It happened in the 1100 block of Broadway around Noon on Thursday.

Police say the 55-year-old-man was inside the bakery getting a cup of coffee when the car plowed in. He was pronounced dead inside the bakery.

Five other people were hurt, but the extent of their injuries are not known.

The 72-year-old woman at the wheel of the car wasn't hurt. She was taken into custody for evaluation.
