Police Release Name Of Victim In Fatal Princeton Crash

PRINCETON, N.J. -

The victim of a fatal crash in Princeton Thursday was about to get inside of a car when he was struck by another car that was unoccupied.

According to police, the victim was getting into the passenger side of a Toyota Prius when a Toyota Camry struck the car. Police say the Camry struck the Prius after it was hit by a BMW. The Camry was parked at the time of the crash.

Police have identified the victim as 74-year-old James Diamond of Princeton. Diamond was thrown from the area of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Two other people were injured and were taken to a nearby hospital.

Police say the crash remains under investigation.
