CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are releasing sketches of two men who allegedly kidnapped a 15-year-old girl last Thursday in the Southwest Side Chicago Lawn neighborhood.

Authorities say the men covered the girl's eyes and carried her to a car on the 6600 block of South California Avenue around 7:30 p.m., according to a community alert issued by Area Central detectives. They drove to a nearby alley, but the girl was able to escape.

The first suspect is described as a 6-foot black man between the ages of 30 and 49 with a medium complexion, a beard and short black hair, according to the alert. He was wearing a brown coat and white T-shirt.

The second suspect is a black man between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-10. He was clean-shaven with a medium complexion and short black hair, and was wearing a black Pelle Pelle coat, the alert said.

They were driving an older black or dark green four-door sedan, the alert said.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
