RIVERVIEW, Mich. (WJBK) -

As bulldozers worked the soil nearby officers investigated evidence of a possible crime on a sprawling piece of property near King and Grange Roads in Riverview.

Yellow crime scene tape was stretched on the ground, spread in a rough rectangle at the Riverview Land Preserve where police say human remains had been found. Fox 2 has learned the body was discovered in an area where home demolition waste is dumped, but little else is known.

The body is scheduled for an autopsy in Wayne County.
