ASH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -

Police say a woman's body found in a roadside ditch in southeast Michigan has been identified as that of a missing Flint woman.

The Flint Journal and The Monroe Evening News report the body spotted by a motorist Monday in Monroe County's Ash Township is that of 27-year-old Tanisha Colton. Ash Township is about 30 miles southwest of Detroit and is about 80 miles from Flint.

Colton was a mother of three. State police say the death is being treated as a homicide and a person is in custody related the case but isn't charged.

The name of the person being held wasn't immediately released. An autopsy was planned.

Family and friends have been searching Genesee County for Colton. Police say she was last seen March 13 leaving her work.
