Grand Boulevard residents see rise in burglaries: Alert

Police issued an alert Sunday to residents of the Grand Boulevard neighborhood, warning them of a recent string of burglaries.

The suspect enters a residence during the day and burglarizes it, according to the alert issued by Area Central detectives.

The burglaries have occurred in the 500 block of East 42nd Street, the 500 block of East Bowen Avenue, and the 500 block of East Oakwood Boulevard, the alert said.

Police advise residents to keep the perimeter of properties well-lighted, repair broken windows and locks, and to report suspicious activity immediately.
